M&A Integration
In the aftermath of a merger and two acquisitions, the newly appointed VP of Integration for a top tier telecommunications provider was charged with integrating all employees, customers, and operations into a single entity. This was by far the company’s largest and most complex integration challenge
Stone + Company was retained to identify what change was needed and to map the process. Using our [Team 360™], [Leadership Dialogue™], and other methodologies, we identified the key stakeholders, issues, goals, milestones, and agreements needed for each phase, and defined a shared vision for a successful integration. In less than two months, we helped gain senior management buy-in, created an integration team, chartered the project, and defined functional responsibilities. Most important, we helped identify and resolve critical cross-functional issues and interdependencies that were vital to the success of the integration.
Results:
While this dedicated team focused on the transition, the rest of the organization was allowed to focus on day-to-day business operations. The business achieved "best in the country" results, ahead of its projected goals. Currently, the process is being used as a prototype for future acquisitions.
